During these uncertain times caused by the rapid spread of the coronavirus, and on behalf of The Bella Team, I want to reassure guests and customers of our firm commitment to you.
We know that all companies and markets have been affected by the current situation. Travel and supplies to and from the Islands are now also being effected.
The health and safety of all guest and staff is most paramount.
The hotel has been closed for the winter season, and we have liaised with all our staff both overseas and locally, and for their safety and that of our customers we have decided to review our re-opening for the summer season:
We will now re-open May the 1st 2020 and not April 1st as previously planned. We will continue to review and post updates on our website and social media accounts as they arise.
All existing reservations and bookings for April will be contacted ASAP to make alternative arrangements.
All future hotel and restaurant bookings, and general queries should be directed through: [email protected] / 01481 238764

We’d like to invite you to Guernsey’s first annual Gin Garden Party on the afternoon and evening of Saturday July 8th 2017, which we’ll be hosting here in the grounds of the Bella Luce.
We’re planning a classic summer garden party in celebration of all things gin, featuring a selection of our favourite craft gin brands, tastings, talks, cocktail demonstrations, food and live music in our marquee, poolside area and garden.
There’ll be bunting strung up, hay bales to sit on and we’ll be serving afternoon teas (we definitely advise pre-booking these) cucumber sandwiches and cones of strawberries and cream to enjoy, alongside refreshing gin and tonics from the likes of Wheadon’s Gin, Six O-Clock, Sipsmith, Brockmans and Monkey 47 Gin to name but a few.
For those of you who want to learn more about gin, its history and how it’s produced, there’ll be talks as well as demonstrations and master-classes in how to mix some classic gin cocktails throughout the afternoon.
Guernsey’s Gin Garden Party, presented by Wheadon’s Gin, will get started at 1pm and finish at 7pm. Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee and include entry to the Gin Garden Party, two complimentary gin and tonics (one Wheadon’s and tonic, a second from one of the featured brands), tastings, a festival glass and a tasting notes booklet.
Following the garden party, the Bella Luce restaurant will be welcoming Michael Kain from Bristol’s Six O-Clock Gin for a very special ticketed Distiller’s Dinner. Guests will enjoy a menu built around the botanicals and flavours of both Six O-Clock Gin and Wheadon’s Gin whilst sat alongside the copper stills of the Bella Luce Small Batch Distillery in our cellar lounge. Please call us directly on 01481 238764 to reserve seats for the Disitller’s Dinner.
