Coronavirus (COVID-19) Latest Information

During these uncertain times caused by the rapid spread of the coronavirus, and on behalf of The Bella Team, I want to reassure guests and customers of our firm commitment to you.

We know that all companies and markets have been affected by the current situation. Travel and supplies to and from the Islands are now also being effected.

The health and safety of all guest and staff is most paramount.

The hotel has been closed for the winter season, and we have liaised with all our staff both overseas and locally, and for their safety and that of our customers we have decided to review our re-opening for the summer season:

We will now re-open May the 1st 2020 and not April 1st as previously planned.  We will continue to review and post updates on our website and social media accounts as they arise.

All existing reservations and bookings for April will be contacted ASAP to make alternative arrangements.

All future hotel and restaurant bookings, and general queries should be directed through:  [email protected] / 01481 238764

*New* Weekly ‘Gintroduction’ Wednesdays

As we reopen the Bella for 2018 we’re excited to announce that we’ll now be offering weekly ‘Gintroduction’ Wednesdays in the Wheadon’s Gin Small Batch Distillery.

In these half-hour sessions we’ll introduce you to ‘Old Nick’, the beautiful copper still that sits at the back of our cellar lounge where we distill our award-winning gin.  Over a Wheadon’s & tonic you’ll learn about the history of this fascinating spirit before being guided through tasting a number of different London Dry style gins, leaving you with a basic understanding of how we produce Wheadon’s and why it’s possible for there to be so many different styles and infusions in the world of gin.

Our range of popular small-group Distillery Experiences can be booked at a time to suit (and are often arranged around lunch or dinner in our restaurant), however these new weekly tasting sessions have no minimum group size, making them ideal for couples or individual visitors who aren’t staying at the Bella Luce.  If you’d like to arrange afternoon tea before, or dinner after, a Wednesday ‘Gintroduction’ tasting session then please just let us know when you’re making your booking, and we’ll do the rest.

Regular ‘Gintroduction’ tasting sessions take place at 4pm, every Wednesday and cost £20 per person (over 18s only).  Please call us on +44 (0)1481 238764 to book your place.
