Tennerfest at the Bella Luce


Guernsey's fantastic focus on food and drink continues throughout autumn with Tennerfest, the Channel Islands' longest-running celebration of local cuisine, taking place across the island until November 11th.
Every year, chefs across the Bailiwick devise a three course set menu with a focus on local produce and offer it at discounted prices. As the name suggests, the festival was originally based around £10 set menus however as more restaurants have joined the promotion and the variety and standard of dishes on offer has increased, menus are now priced between £10 and £20. Here at the Bella Luce our 2016 Tennerfest menu features such specialties as our home-smoked salmon, locally caught sea bream, and several beef dishes prepared (by our in-house butcher Dave) from loins of beef that we have hung and butchered here at the hotel. These fantastic ingredients are complimented by local autumnal produce such as apples, pears, wild mushrooms, hazelnuts and cider.

Tennerfest is a great time for food-lovers on Guernsey, both locals and visitors alike, as so many establishments partake in the festival and the island's restaurants are full of enthusiastic diners. As part of this year's tennerfest, we're also offering an overnight stay (bed & breakfast) for £89 per couple, so you can join us for dinner and stay until the following lunchtime - perfect for those who want to try as much of our menu as possible.
